Subject Aims


At Junior Certificate Level, we aim to follow on and:

Ÿ  Enable the students to develop personal and social skills.

Ÿ  Promote self-esteem and self-confidence.

Ÿ  Enable the students to develop a framework for responsible decision-making.

Ÿ  Provide opportunities for reflection and discussion.

Ÿ  Promote physical, mental and emotional health and well-being.

Ÿ  Develop coping strategies for adolescence and adult life in support of greater resilience

Ÿ  Promote students’ understanding of how they learn in support of lifelong learning.
