Regional Basketball Final

Well done to our Senior Basketball team who competed in the Dublin League final against Crumlin on Thursday 10th of December 2015. After progressing through the group stage, Holy Family gained victory in their quarter final and semi final match ups against Dun Laoighre, Rathdown and Loreto, St. Stephens' Green respectively.

Although they faced a big challenge in Crumlin (who boasted two Irish International and two Irish selection players on their team), the girls acquitted themselves very well on the day. With a support of 50 first and second year students, along with some of their fifth year peers, our senior team comepted a very high level throughout the game pushing Crumlin all the way to the end.

Unfortunately, the girls were not able to win out on the day with the final score 48-33 in favour of Crumlin. However, there were some outstanding performances on the day from all involved especially that of Aoife Stapleton, Molly Price and Aoibhinn Conlon.

As regional finalists, the girls will next progress to the All Ireland playoff stage of the competition where they will represent Leinster and hope to earn a place in the All Ireland semi finals.

Well done to all involved.
