TY trip to Colaiste Acla
On Monday 21st September, 105 Ty students boarded buses bound for Colaiste Acla in Achill for a whirlwind round of surfing, bog snorkelling, cliff diving and kayaking all as Gaeilge. With the sun beaming for most of the time, the girls entered the spirit of things with gusto and were heard singing Soli Deo Gloria as well as various songs including Amhrán na bhFiann as they set off on the college buses for their various activities. The girls did us proud as they gladly spoke the cupla focal as required by the college. The theme of "remembering who we are" was in evidence at the Céilí when the girls danced Ballaí Luimnigh and Ionsaí na hInse and belted out An Dreolín. Congratulations are due to the cailíní for their great enthusiasm and cooperation which was greatly appreciated by the college Staff and teachers Ms. Seoighe, Mr. Bergin, Mr. Keane and Ms. Keenan.
