Rugby has been growing in the Holy Family since its introduction in 2022. There are currently two competitions for the girls to take part in, 1st year touch rugby blitzes against other schools in the North Midlands Region and the Junior Team made up of 2nd and 3rd years playing in development 7s blitzes. Hopefully we will have a senior team for Transition to 6th year students in the future!
Players have training weekly with the Leinster CCRO from Newbridge Rugby Club, Gregor Groulay, and enjoy trips to take part in blitzes, each month.
All students are welcome to come and try rugby regardless of experience, most of our current players had never played the sport before but have since joined their local club!
