Students were set the challenge of making rainbows in a test tube for Science Week in November 2018. To do this the students had to create sugar solutions of varying densities using water coloured with food dye. They had to then add the different solutions, carefully, to the test tube, in the correct order so the coloured layers would sit on top of one another.
